Growing up in Pinnacle, NC, I was in the Town of Pilot Mountain often. I spent a great deal of time as a child participating in programs at the Charles H. Stone Memorial Library, and we were otherwise in and around Town on a weekly, if not daily basis. As a graduate of East Surry High School, Pilot Mountain has given me many great memories, role models who have given me immeasurable counsel and advice, and many lifelong friends. As Pilot Mountain’s T own Manager, I am blessed to have the opportunity to give back to a community that has given so much to me! As Town Manager, I am responsible for the daily administration of the government of the Town of Pilot Mountain. I am the chief executive officer of the Town, and am responsible for ensuring that the directives of the Town’sBoard of Commissioners is carried out. Other than the Town Attorney, I am the only employee appointed by the Board of Commissioners, and am responsible for recruiting and retaining department heads and employees to carry out the work of the Town. In addition, I am responsible for planning and zoning,code enforcement, and making sure that Town employees are working effectively and efficiently to provide services to our citizens, making Pilot Mountain the best possible place to live, work, and visit that it can be. I can generally be found at Town Hall during normal business hours, but my job often requires me to be out of the office meeting with citizens and business leaders, or in other parts of Surry County and North Carolina conducting the business of the Town.
